Patch Notes & Update Roadmap
The newest patch is a hotfix that corrects Explosion Damage, which was scaling off the damage dealt immediately before it rather than off Basic Attack damage. The same day, the developers published a full 2026–2027 update roadmap. War of Genesis: Idle Loot ships dated hotfixes instead of version numbers, so this tracker is ordered by release date.
War of Genesis: Idle Loot entered Early Access on 10 September 2026 (Steam AppID 4891320), and the team has been posting update notices on the official Steam News feed roughly ever since. Because there are no semantic version numbers, the honest way to read the changelog is by date. Every entry below is transcribed from the developer's own announcement, with a link back to the source so you can verify it yourself.
Patches since launch
Fixed a damage-scaling bug where Explosion Damage was calculated from the hit landed immediately before it, when it should be derived from the caster's Basic Attack damage. The team warned that a brief network disconnect may occur while the patch rolls out. Official notice →
A forward-looking plan spanning Q4 2026 through Q2 2027, detailed in its own section below. Official notice →
Ongoing suspensions against bot and farm accounts entering through abnormal methods, to keep the in-game economy fair for everyone. For traders, this may mean less bot-farmed supply reaching the board. Official notice →
A short hotfix described only as "additional client stability updates." No gameplay or economy changes were listed in this one. Official notice →
The biggest post-launch update so far. Added a class-specific Preset system for Knight, Ranger and Wizard; in-game chat translation; and Auto-Combine for Jewels. The combat-power ranking eligible to use chat was widened from the top 3,000 to the top 10,000, and Raid / World Boss content received improvements and bug fixes. Maintenance ran 05:00–09:00 UTC. Official notice →
The game opened in Early Access on Steam. A follow-up preview on 11 September outlined the first wave of quality-of-life work (presets, jewel auto-combine, chat translation, and market purchases delivered to your Mailbox) that mostly shipped in the 17 September update. The 2026–2027 roadmap
The 21 September announcement is the first roadmap with quarter-level windows, running from Q4 2026 to Q2 2027. The team stated that content outside this roadmap will be revealed gradually, and that the details and schedules are subject to change with feedback and development progress.
- Tower of Infinity added.
- Character Skins added.
- A 100-player raid added.
- A new class added.
- A new character (hero) added.
- Maximum level cap raised.
What this means for the market
Two of these changes may touch the economy you trade in. The account-sanctions wave can pull bot-farmed supply off the board, which could tighten listing depth on common items. A raised level cap and a new class typically reset which affixes and gear are "best in slot," so stat jewels and high-tier gear keep their demand rather than being swapped out the way a flat power creep would. Read The Tier System and Most Valuable Items for how tier and affixes drive price, and check the live board for current depth before you list.
What is not confirmed
- No exact calendar dates for the roadmap items; only quarter windows (Q4 2026, Q1 2027, Q2 2027) were given.
- The new class, hero, and Tower of Infinity specifics (mechanics, level cap value, reward tables) have not been detailed.
- The 18 September hotfix did not enumerate which stability issues were fixed beyond "client stability updates."
